Report Subscriptions - Pro licensing

Hello,

we have a report that was shared from a premium capacity workspace (not as an app).  Will both Pro and Non-Pro users be able to consume that report?  If so what can and can't they (non-pros) do? Can they use the 'Subscribe' option?  We've seen upgrade to Pro prompts but it seems inconsistent.  If it was published as an App would there be any limitations to using the subscribe feature for Non-Pro users?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi @mgaynor

Thanks for reaching out to us.

If you want to add a subscription for a group/user, then your report has to be located in the premium capacity. And in premium capacity, your users do not need a pro/ppu license to access the report through the link in the subscription email.

If you have not purchased premium capacity, you can only subscribe for single users and these users need a pro/ppu license to access the report.

When free users open a report, they will be notified of a free trial of pro/ppu. And after the 60-day trial period, they will go back to the free license and will not be able to open the report in shared capacity.

Free users only in premium capacity can act the same as a Pro license, so as long as its premium they should have the same functionality.

here is more info on being a free user

This is in a premium capacity workspace.  I'm not sure why they are getting a prompt to purchase a pro license.
