Report Scheduled Refresh

Hi,

Is there a way to set up auto refresh schedule for Power BI Reports (not dataset) that runs on the web server?

Also, if a dataset is linked to an excel file, and the excel file is linked to a database, do I need to refresh the excel file before refreshing the Power BI dataset? Or would just refreshing the dataset would trigger the excel file to be refreshed as well?

HI @Anonymous ,

If your report not use live mode, refresh report not trigger dataset refresh, it only loading last data from cached dataset.

BTW, if your file is link to external datasource, external datasource refresh not trigger excel file refresh.

Hi @Anonymous,

If the dataset is set to refresh daily, will my reports be refreshed daily as well or do I have to manually hit refresh?
