Hi,
I have a problem to refreash a data set in Power BI online. The thing is it works perfectly with no errors in the desktop version. I have it connected to sharepoint and therefore it should work, but it doesn't.
I get this error code when I'm trying to refresh:
Data source errorNot a legal OleAut date.. The exception was raised by the IDataReader interface. Table: SNOW(sn_sm_finance_request). Cluster URIWABI-NORTH-EUROPE-redirect.analysis.windows.net Activity ID3dc2dfb5-cfc8-4496-ad99-b191c01eb4a9 Request IDda1e4e29-bd18-cf0b-01dc-57721041d1fb Time2018-10-24 14:58:25Z
I have no idea what is means and have no problems with the table: SNOW(sn_sm_finance_request) in the desktop version.
I hope you have a solution.
Regards
Albin

Hi @Anonymous,
According to my knowledge, the above error always occurs when there are incorrect date values such as 11/09/0016 in the data source.
In your scenario, please look at all date values in Power BI Desktop and correct those illegal date values, then re-publish the Power BI Desktop file to Power BI Service and check if you can refresh the dataset successfully.
There is also a similar thread for your reference.

Also you can try this way to fix it refering to this blog.

What version is your Power BI Desktop? When you publish to the Service, are you having to do your refreshes through a Gateway? What version of the Gateway are you using?
