Hello Everyone, receiving below error:
We cannot refresh this dataset because the dataset contains calculated tables or calculated columns based on data from a Single Sign-on (SSO)-enabled Direct Query data source. Please configure the dataset to use an explicit connection with granular access control to access this data source and then try.
I have used a calcualted talbe in my report and loaded data using live connection to semantic model.

Hi @Chanakya_vcr I think this occurs because calculated tables or columns are not supported with Single Sign-On (SSO) in a live connection. Switch to Import Mode or reconfigure the dataset to use DirectQuery with explicit credentials. Alternatively, move the calculated table logic to Power Query or use DAX measures instead. If the issue persists, contact Microsoft Support with the provided Activity and Request IDs.
Hi @Chanakya_vcr - it is due to the use of calculated tables or columns in combination with a Single Sign-On (SSO)-enabled DirectQuery connection.
Power BI does not allow these calculations in combination with SSO-based DirectQuery, as it can’t securely evaluate those calculations during refresh.
suggest you, If possible, switch from DirectQuery to Import mode for the dataset. This avoids SSO limitations and supports calculated tables/columns.
⚠️ This works only if your data doesn’t need to be live.
