I am receiving an error when I try to refresh a data model that I have uploaded to Power BI Service. Here is the error:
There was an error when processing the data in the dataset.
Data source error: {"error":{"code":"DMTS_OAuthFailedToGetResourceIdError","pbi.error":{"code":"DMTS_OAuthFailedToGetResourceIdError","parameters":{},"details":[],"exceptionCulprit":1}}} Table:
I am excluding the Table name from the error for privacy. In addition, the error message tends to point at a different table each time the error message generates, so I don't believe the error is tied to a single table.
In the pbix file in Power BI Desktop, I am able to refresh this file without any issues. It is only when it connects to Power BI Service that this error appears.
In the Data Model settings, under Data source credentials, I am connected to Databricks and DatabricksMultiCloud. I have entered credentials.
Can someone please help me identify why this data model will not refresh?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Solution: I was connecting to two data sources of Databricks:
1. Azure Databricks
2. Databricks (Beta)
I changed all of my data sources to come from Databricks (Beta). In Power Query, for each query, in the step Source: the M code begins with "Databricks" for Azure Databricks data source. I changed this to "DatabricksMultiCloud", which is the second data source. Repeat for all data sources that were connected to the Azure Databricks data source. Now my data model is refreshing as it should.
