Hi,
Recently a report I had scheduled to refresh daily has been failing in doing so, stating that "there was an error when processing the data in the dataset". Here's a capture of the error message:
May I get some help in solving this sissue so that I can get my data refreshed as usual?
Thanks
Hi @Yeiko ,
Agree with @aj1973 's point. You can follow the way he provided to troubleshoot your problem first, if that doesn't work, you need to provide more detailed information.
1. What data source are you using?
2. Are your reports (Pbix files) refreshed properly in Power BI Desktop?
3. Are you using the latest version of the gateway.
Also.
If you are using SQL Server as your data source, there are four possible reasons for this type of timeout.
1. Deadlock somewhere on the database with SQL tables.
2. The database statistics and/or query plan cache is incorrect.
3. The query is too complex and needs to be tuned.
4. The default timeout in the page code base is too short and needs to be increased.

Hi @Yeiko
Usually that meesage comes out when there is a change in the data source. Verify if there is a column or table where even a tiny change had happened to them.
