My desktop model refreshes fine but I get the following error. Normally errors highlight the problem and it is addressed easily. Any idea where I can go from here? Gateways look fine, all checked green. I just do not know what steps to take here other than contact support.

There are some proposals for you troubleshooting this issue.
1. Use latest version of Power BI Desktop(2.90.782.0) to create reports for your data source.
2. Open the report in PBI Desktop and clear the cache.
3. Refresh the data in the desktop and save.
4. Publish to service and refresh again.
5. Use fiddler to monitor what happened during the refresh process.

Could you update the Gateway to the latest version (Feb 2021)
And this sometimes can happen typically due to an error with the transporting of the data.
When this happens (which is not often) I go into the dataset and do a manual refresh.
