Hi All,
We have published a semantic model + report to PowerBi service which is refreshing every hour from a SQL Server data source - we are using Premium Capacity. As we've been adding more reports to the workbook the refresh is starting to fail intermittently stating:
| Data source error: | Resource Governing: This operation was canceled because there wasn't enough memory to finish running it. Either reduce the memory footprint of your dataset by doing things such as limiting the amount of imported data, or if using Power BI Premium, increase the memory of the Premium capacity where this dataset is hosted. More details: consumed memory 1852 MB, memory limit 1851 MB, database size before command execution 1220 MB |
We're guessing the payload is too much for the size of the premium capacity but as the step up in cost is so high I wondered if there were any analytics available for the refresh so we could analyse which tasks are consuming the most memory and perhaps optimise.
We can't seem to find any more detail on the Refresh history - looks like Dataflows have a downloadable .csv but Semantic model refreshed don't appear to have this option?
Any ideas on where we can see more detail on the refresh?
