Hello,
I can find documentation on reading data from Databricks into Power BI, but I struggle to find information on it going the other way around.
I belive Power BI stores the data in SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and this lives somewhere within Azure lake. We're exploring Data Mesh and would like to ingest data that's curated by federated teams. They connect Power BI to their local datasets (i.e. Excel or SharePoint lists etc.) and publish these in their Workspaces.
Are there best practices around ingesting from the Power BI workspace SSAS instance into the Databricks platform?
Any tips or links appreciated.
If you can read from an OLAP cube (SSAS proper) then you can also read from a semantic model.
HOWEVER: Power BI is a data sink, not a data source. Connect your Databricks to the original data source.
