We implemented an R-Visual in a dashboard that works seamlessly in desktop, but when when viewed in the Power BI Service throws an error message.
According to documentation (Learn which R packages are supported - Power BI | Microsoft Learn) . The package in question appears meet all the requirements, specifically that the package is published publically via CRAN (CRAN - Package FSA (r-project.org).
It seems that this visual should work in the service, does anyone have any suggestions about how we could get this to work? Am I missing something?
Mike
Hi @hawb ,
Many R packages are supported in the Power BI service (and more are being supported all the time), and some packages are not. Unfortunately, this R package is not supported in the powerbi service.
Reference: Learn which R packages are supported - Power BI | Microsoft Docs If you would like to request support of an R package not found in that list, please submit your request to Power BI Ideas

Thanks for your response. Well, not the answer I was hoping for. Obviously posting an "idea" for the approval of a specialized R-package (with a small audience) to the vast abyss that is the Power BI Ideas forum seems like it has a slim odds for success. But, I will do it none-the-less.
I've submitted an idea to improve the process for approved R packages as well because the current process seems very limiiting..Microsoft Idea (powerbi.com)
