Publish Dashboard is not updating with current Data.

Hi,

I am new in Power BI. I need the experts help. I am striggling in refreshing the Dashboard with updated currnt value in web https://app.powerbi.com/groups. In Desktop Power BI when I refresh the Data the Visual like table Chat etc have been upadeted with the latest records from Azure Application Insight but the same published dashborad has not been updated on Web Power BI with current data from Azure. On web still shwoing the old data as before Published from Desktop.

I have implemented the quesry by Advance query editor and show the last 4 hours record only.

How can I fix this issue ? There have no use to publish on web if the data is not updated after refresh on web.

Current Power BI Desktop (There have No live records as device have been swithched off) (Published should be like this)

Once you publish from desktop to service, the service report will automatically displayed the newest data from the datasource. You can also refresh the dataset on service to get the newest data. The screen short you provided report not dashboard.

However there is a difference between dashboard tile refresh and report visual refresh:

Dashboard Tile Refresh: Dashboard tiles automatically refresh once dataset is refreshed.

Refresh of report visuals:  Dataset refresh will not reflect to the report visuals automatically, you must manual refresh the report page to update the report visuals to the the newest data.

Hi @susheeltyagi ,

After making the changes to pbix file in desktop, did you re-publish to workspace?

The report in workspace(web) will not automatically change after you publish the report once and then make filtering changes in Desktop file.

For the changes in desktop to be reflected in services, the pbix will have to be re-published.

You can schedule refreshes in services to automatically have the latest data. But for pbix changes such as formatting, sizing, filtering changes, etc. , you will have to re-publish the report.

Give a thumbs up if this post helped you in any way and mark this post as solution if it solved your query !!!
