Hi All,
In my workspace settings, under Semantic Model Storage Format, "Large Semantic Model Storage Format" option is disabled.
Could anyone tell why the option is disabled and please guide me to enable the option.
Thanks,
Soma

Hi All,
Sorry for the delayed response. I found the solution. Only the capacity admins can enable the option in a workspace. Capcacity admins need to get access as workspace admins and then they can change the storage format.
Thank you all.

Hello @Somu1234
In the Power BI Service, the "Semantic Model Storage Format" setting within a workspace controls how large datasets within your semantic model are stored, with the option to use "Large semantic model storage format" for handling particularly large models, typically accessible only with a Power BI Premium capacity; you can find this setting by going to your workspace settings, selecting "Premium", and then choosing the desired storage format

If the above answer helps please accept it as a solution.

Hi @NimaiAhluwalia ,
My workspace is already in Premium Capacity only. However, the option is disabled.
Thanks,
Soma
Hello @Somu1234
There can be multiple reasons for it to be disbaled.
1. Large semantic models aren't supported in Pro workspaces. If a workspace is migrated from Premium to Pro, any semantic models with the large semantic model storage format setting, will fail to load
2. The Admin might have disabled the option.
3. The region your workspace is in does not support large semantic models.
4. Default setting of your workspace is set to small semantic models.
