Hi everyone,
My Power BI web report suddenly stopped loading after working for several days without changing anything. I am using small CSV files for a dashboard.
I first received: PowerBIErrorCode: LargeModelMovedAcrossRegions
It said the model needed to be moved back to its original region, Southeast Asia.
I then tried turning off Large semantic model storage format, but Power BI returned:
“Unexpected error converting this semantic model”
Status code: 400
Now I am getting: “The semantic model '95db0b20-25bc-4bb9-9f56-234378109b22' was not found in the capacity '6DD2A0ED-EA02-484E-88D7-B483996420C4'.
The semantic model may be temporarily unavailable if it is being migrated to a different capacity or if the workspace itself is being moved.”
Does this sound like a temporary capacity/workspace migration issue, or do I need to rebuild the semantic model from scratch?
I am on a free Power BI account, so I may not have full support ticket access.

@tim_c412 Hi!
This sounds more like a backend capacity/region migration issue than something wrong with your actual model.
The key clue is the sequence of errors:
first the LargeModelMovedAcrossRegions
then the semantic model not being found in the capacity
That usually points to Power BI/Fabric trying to reconcile workspace-capacity-region metadata, especially if a trial capacity or workspace migration was involved.
Since your source is just small CSV files and it worked previously without changes, I probably wouldn’t rebuild everything yet.
If you still have the PBIX locally, I’d first try:
waiting a bit and retrying
republishing to a brand new workspace (or My Workspace)
checking whether the workspace was attached to a Fabric/Premium trial that may have expired
I’ve seen similar “model not found in capacity” errors resolve after republishing to a clean workspace.

hi @tim_c412
I would recommend chatting to your power BI admin because it sounds like they have been moving some capacities in the background and they could assist you with this issue.
