PowerBI scheduled refresh fails on msaccess source with linked tables?

Hi everyone,

I am trying to auto refresh a data source in msaccess 2003 which has queries based on linked tables. The data in the linked tables resides in another access database. Refresh fails although it has no issue refreshing from PBI desktop.

i can not find information on similar issues and I am wondering whether this may be a limitation. 

when I recreated the database without linked tables I.e imported them then it works but I would like to maintain my linked tables as I can then only look at a subset of the data.

i am wondering whether there may be a way to make it work?

As far as I know there is no way to make it work with underlying linked tables.
