PowerBI App and web do not show date if formatted using my locale de_DE

Hi,

in the top of my report I want to show the current date in the head area.
Therefore I placed a card visual with follwing measure:

Date1.png

In PowerBI desktop the date is shown correctly following the locale parameter inside the measures formula.
But if I open the report in PowerBI app or the web then the date looks like this:

Date2.png

If I remove the locale parameter from the measures formula, then the date is presented in PowerBI app and also web, but then it is in english.

How can I make the date working correctly in PowerBI app and web formatted with my locale please?

Hi @TM_AC ,

Please use "de-DE" instead of "de_DE".

Measure = UPPER(FORMAT(TODAY(),"DDD DD. MMM YYYY", "de-DE"))

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information or the expected result you expect. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.

How is this suppose to appear for January 1, 2022? Can you give an example of what you want to see?

@Tutu_in_YYC : I want to see:

DIE 17. MAI 2022

Hey TM,

After some investigation, the locale parameter you are using ( "de_DE" ) isnt not supported in Power BI service.

Look at below image for some other options
