Hi all,
In the not too distant past (4 weeks ago) when you exported a PowerBI into a PDF or PowerPoint you got a screenshot of the PowerApp on inital load. This was used for us to provide commentary into reports.
Now when I export it just leaves a blank white box?
Is this a known bug/issue and any idea when it will be restored?
Any update on this?, Its still the same
I have spoken with tech support who are pushing that the intended functionality is that the visuals show blank on export.
This cannot be the intended functionality when for months it exported with the visuals of the PowerApp making it so much more feature rich.
Can anyone from MS comment please?
Push back on them and keep the ticket open. Ask them to escalate to the next level.
Sadly they have closed it...
I have rasied it here Microsoft Idea (powerbi.com) and here PowerApps visual show in PowerBI PDF Export - Microsoft Power BI Community
Hi @TWolsten
Can these users see the Power Apps visual in their reports ? In addition to Power Apps visual , can other visuals be displayed normally in PDF or PowerPoint ?

Yes they can see the PowerApp if viewing the report in the PowerBI service, it just disappears when you try and export it in PDF or PowerPoint when in the past it would show the on load page of the app, which in our case was used as a commentary option in our reports.
yes, known bug. You can raise an issue at https://issues.powerbi.com . If you have a Pro license you can consider raising a Pro ticket at https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/pro/
Thanks for confirming it is a bug
I have raised a Pro ticket so hopefully it gets resolved quick!
