Power BI service don't show zero values on a histogram where Desktop correctly show

Hi to all!!

I'm going litterally crazy with the subject matter!!

I have a pubblished report where I want to show all values (including 0) for every day of a period.

I shaped my histogram in PBI Desktop and all seem OK: the day with zero values are showed as expected!

BUT when I pubblish the report in PBI service the days with 0 data disappear!!

Can someone help me how to resolve this issue??

Here a image of the to histograms the first on Desktop, the second on service:

Hi BeaBF!

working yesterday only on the service version of the report, with the visual parameters and using the Y axis secondary I have solved my issue without changing measure, but only forcing to "use elements without data". For now tje report seem OK.

Thank's a lot for support!

Have a nice day

@AgoZ_KH Hi!

Sure!

The issue happens because Power BI Service handles missing data and filters slightly differently than Power BI Desktop. In Desktop, zero values may appear automatically, but in the Service they disappear unless your visual is built correctly.

To fix it, make sure your chart uses a proper Date table as the axis (not the fact table), and your measure is written with COALESCE() so blanks become zeros. Then turn on “Show items with no data” in the visual and ensure slicers or filters use the Date table too.

This combination ensures that days with zero values consistently appear in both Desktop and the Service.

HI beaBF!

Tanks for the quick replay and for help.

Yes I tried this way changing measure using the COALESCE() command. I try also adding +0 to my measure and using the statement IF ISBLANK ... without results. Using +0 I obtain a Histogram populated from first date of my DAX Calendar function to last (i.e. 1/1/2025 - 31/12/2025) by 0 values but the data slice can't set a specific between period (i.e. 1/11/2025-3/11/2025). Of course I'm using the same calendar function for Data slice and for Histogram.

For the moment the issue is not solved ...

Have a nice day

@AgoZ_KH Can you paste your measure?

Try with:

Total Sales =
CALCULATE(
COALESCE(SUM(Data[Sales]), 0),
KEEPFILTERS(VALUES('Calendar'[Date]))
)
