We are using the Power BI REST API to duplicate a report (and dataset), update the dataset parameters, and export the resultant report to a .pbix using the following endpoints:
1. Export Report In Group
2. Import Report In Group
3. Update Dataset Parameters In Group
4. Export Report (Duplicate) In Group
When we make these requests sequentially from a particular environment, the resultant .pbix file contains a dataset with the appropriately updated parameters.
However, when we make requests 1-3 from the same environment and then make request 4 from a different environment, the resultant .pbix file uses a dataset without the updated dataset parameters, even though the same resource is being accessed.
What we need to know:
Is this expected behavior?
Are there SLAs/Service statistics available regarding data consistency?
Notes:
In both environments, the requests are authenticated with tokens generated for the same service principal object.

Hi @Anonymous ,
It may be due to network delays. Do you wait for a while and then export again when you are in a different environment?
Or may be try
