I have a power bi embedded report for clients (App owns data).
I want the user to be able to download the data to excel. This can be done with a button/more option on a visual or any work around.
Initially I just used a table visual and the export data option on the visual, and it worked perfectly.
We then added dynamic currency conversions to the report, which causes the table visual to run out of memory. The only real reason for even showing the table is to allow the user to export it.
Things I have tried
1. Power Automate - This is does not seem to be supported in the embedded environment.
2. Export Underlying Data - I tried to filter the table to only top 1000 rows and then export without the filter, could not get this working.
3. Improving query performance. Even with improved performanceI could only get the table to show 8k rows. (Our biggest client has 16k rows)
Anyone have any suggestions?
