Hello,
I am trying out Power BI Embedded in Azure. I have created the service in my resource group and all appears to be functioning. I can pause and resume the service as needed.
My question is how does Power BI Embedded know what accounts at my company are to be used for this embedding capacity? I added an account to the service as a "Reader" role. This account is the same credentials I use in the app owns data embedding scenario in my app. I want to be sure that this account is tied to the embedding service. I expected that when I pause the service, my embedded reports should no longer render. However, they still appear, which makes me think this account is not linked to the embedding service. My question is, how do I associate a power bi account to the embedding service in Azure? If I pause the service, the reports should not render if all is set up right, correct?
Thank you PBI community.

Hi @Anonymous ,
What you should know first is that capacity is assigned to workspaces rather than accounts.
You can refer to this document: Configure and manage capacities in Power BI Premium.
And for pausing capacity, you can refer to this document: Pause and start your Power BI Embedded capacity in the Azure portal.

Icey
