I'm trying to populate a text box in power apps embedded in a power bi report by referring to the first record and a column name but it doesn't work. Is it my syntax or something else?
The column is called 'user_login' from the data fed into power apps visualisation in power bi.

Hi @vfx661
Could you try this to see if it works to first connect to the data and make sure it shows up.

Hi @vfx661,
I understand the inconvenience of having to switch between Power BI Desktop and Service to test your Power Apps visual. Here’s how to address your challenge.
Currently, Power Apps visuals rely on live integration capabilities that are only available in Power BI Service. This means they won’t function as expected in Power BI Desktop.
If this limitation affects your workflow significantly, consider providing feedback on the Power BI Ideas Forum

Hi, I am using power bi desktop - it seems to work if I open the report in power bi service. This is incredibly inconvenient and a workflow nightmare as we have to do editing in desktop for the data modelling, then publish to service, then back to desktop and we can't test with power apps unless publishing to service again. Is there a way to make it work from power bi desktop?
