Hi,
I'm fairly new in PBI and want to hear if it is possible that the end-user can keep the drop-down slicer they select? Right now they have to select each customer one by one everytime they open the report.
I have read the blog https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/announcing-persistent-filters-in-the-service/ However, it does not work. I have removed the custom visual that I normally use and I have allowed end user to save filters on in the PBI service. However, the 'Reset to default' tap still remain unchanged when I try apply different filters from my drop-down slicer.
Hi @Anonymous,
If I understand your requirement that you want your end user could keep the drop-down slicer they select in Power BI Service?
By my test, if you don't tick the option Don' t allow end user to save filters on this file in Power BI Service under Report settings in Power BI Desktop, the end user could keep the slicers in the report.
If it is convenience, could you share a dummy pbix file which can reproduce the scenario, so that we can help further investigate on it? You can upload it to OneDrive or Dropbox and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.)
I also appreciate it if you could show the screenshots of "Reset to default".
Best Regards,
Cherry
