Hello,
I've been experiencing refresh issues for the past few days with a semantic model, which is failing almost every time with the following error:
The semantic model is quite large, so I initially assumed the size might be the cause. To address this, I reduced the dataset size by half—removing unnecessary columns and making other optimizations. However, the issue persists, and I haven’t made any significant changes since then.
I’m now wondering if there might be some kind of cache associated with the semantic model that could still be affecting the refresh, even after optimizing its size.
Has anyone encountered something similar or have any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Hi @arthurdev , From the screenshot, we can infer that you are using a gateway to connect to the data source. Can you check if you are able to refresh the same file in Power BI Desktop? It mostly looks like a data type issue.
Thanks
If this response was helpful in any way, I’d gladly accept a kudo.

Hi @Natarajan_M ,
Thanks I will take a look at that gateway as I don't think this is needed in my case.
Hi @arthurdev , You are not using any dateway to connect to the datasource ? can you share whats the datasource you are using ?
Thanks
Only dataflows, there we use gateways.
