Paginated report in the Service will not allow a negative value for a float or integer parameter

Our paginated report has a float parameter and once published to the service it will not allow entry of negative values.  It gives the error:  "Value is not valid".  It will allow entry of positive numbers.  The parameter will allow entry of negative values when running locally, just not when published to the service.  This is urgent as it is causing disruption to our financial reports.

Thank you

update:  Changing the parameter type to Text may be a workaround, but not ideal.

We are also facing the same issue in the Power BI Service but negative values are allowed for the parameter when run locally.  Any help with this issue is highly appreciated.  Thanks in advance!
