Basically the export to PDF option ignores all filters when I select use current values. I'm on Power Bi Pro. Works fine on the desktop but not at all online.
I wish Microsoft would get their **bleep** together and fix issues to features they have already rolled out. Notice the decomposition tree they rolled out works great on the desktop and barely at all online.
Maybe one month they might stop adding features I don't use and spend a month fixing the basics - labels on scatter graphs for values in the bubble, labels on maps. Not rocket science.
@nick_mk It is pretty clear your irritated, but I'll try to address some of the parts of the post to see if I can help. I tested out using both filters from the filter panel and slicers in a report in the Service and both exported in PDF as expected. I am using the "New Look" in Power BI. There is a known limitation pertaining to URL filters outlined in the documentation here -> https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/consumer/end-user-pdf, but you don't specify specifically where you are having difficulty.
As it relates to features that are in preview like the decomposition tree. I would suggest you should just expect that there will likely be limitations and the PBI team usually does a good job outlinging those, or don't use preview features. They aren't fully baked, that is why they get released "in preview". The overall theme we have seen from MSFT is that they would rather release in preview and get community feedback to integrate into the final product vs. build a fully baked feature and move on without that.
Pretty sure I have republished the report a few times since the 22nd November but will try again thanks. My issue is with a date filter specifically, I am just trying to do 7 days on the slider by date and it's having none of it.
The decomposition tree, whether it was a preview or fully baked should have at least been tested online before going to preview. I do a lot of experimental/development work for my company and it's useful to take a suck it and see approach. However, I try not to put something out that's only working 50% of the time.
Thanks for the feedback guys.
