Notification when refresh event from Data Factory Pipeline is executed

Hi everyone!

I have a pipeline in Data Factory that updates several processes in the PowerBI semantic models. What I want to do is send an email to specific addresses once this is successfully executed and all the semantic models are updated in PowerBI. How can I achieve that?

Thank you both! This could work, but it will only trigger when the refresh action is sent from the Pipeline to the PowerBI Semantic Model and not when it's successful, right? How can I achieve that?

The semantic model refersh activity within fabirc data pipeline is synchronous, meaning it would be completed only when you get a return status back (whether refersh was success or failure)

Hi @julsr 

Use a Web Activity in your ADF pipeline to trigger a Logic App or Power Automate Flow that sends an email notification. Configure the Web Activity to run only after the pipeline completes successfully.

Assuming you are referring to refreshing the report,

You can have a list of semantic models as an input array and pass it as an input to a foreach activity (which can be sequentail/parallel) and in case of succesful completion of foreach activity, you can use outlook activity to send email notification for the same
