Monitorning PBI Direct Query Performance and Cost

Hello,

I have one direct query - created based on Azure Synapse table. The query performance is slow - we are looking into improvements. But is it possible to find out how much it is adding as cost when it reads directly on Synapse table?

If i execute the query will it show me the cost in Azure Portal ? Assuming that since it is direct query and reading data off the tables directly it is adding $$ cost , would like to see how much it is costing us ? is there a way to find that?

Hi, @Krp 

Currently, it's hard to determine the cost upfront. 

You can check  "Cost Management" -> "Billing" in Azure Portal to access the generated billing information,

Thank you for suggestion, am aware of Azure portal Cost analysis . But more keen to see how i can get cost implecation for Direct Queries.

Any experts in the community who has been able to filterout  Direct query cost implication from Azure Portal Cost mgmt pool ?
