Hi @Hussein_charif
@tharunkumarRTK  Thanks for your quick response ,In additon to that,

Microsoft Fabric offers two main licensing options:

  • Per User Licenses – such as Fabric Free, Power BI Pro, and Premium Per User (PPU).
  • Buy and assign them from the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, just like Power BI.

Best for individuals needing Fabric features.

  • Capacity-Based Licenses (F SKUs) – for organizations.
  • Purchase them from the Azure Portal (not Microsoft 365).
  • Provide shared compute resources (Capacity Units or CUs).
  • Pay per second (pay-as-you-go) or reserve for cost savings.

To buy these licenses, you need:

Admin role: Billing Administrator or Global Administrator (for Microsoft 365).

Owner or Contributor (for Azure).

Fabric enabled: Turn on Microsoft Fabric in the Power BI (Fabric) Admin Portal, either for the whole tenant or specific security groups.

Hope this helps !!

Hi @Hussein_charif

Just following up on the information I shared earlier regarding Microsoft Fabric licensing options and setup. I hope the details around Per User and Capacity-Based (F SKU) licenses, along with the prerequisites, helped clarify things for you.

Please let me know if that answered your question or if you need further clarification on any part  I will be happy to assist further.

Looking forward to your response!

Hi @Hussein_charif

Just following up on your earlier question about purchasing a Microsoft Fabric license. As mentioned in the previous response, unlike Power BI Pro/Premium licenses, Microsoft Fabric licensing may require certain prerequisites depending on whether you're opting for Fabric Per User (F64 SKU) or capacity-based licenses (like F SKUs tied to Fabric experiences).

You can typically purchase licenses through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, but it’s good to verify your tenant meets the minimum requirements especially if you're looking to unlock Fabric capabilities beyond Power BI.

Let us know if the previous details addressed your concerns or if you'd like a quick walkthrough on setup or prerequisites. We're here to help!

Hi @Hussein_charif

Just following up on your earlier question about purchasing a Microsoft Fabric license.

As mentioned,

Microsoft Fabric offers two types of licenses:

  • Per User Licenses (e.g., Fabric Free, Power BI Pro, Premium Per User):
  • Purchase via the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
  • Ideal for individuals exploring Fabric capabilities.

Capacity-Based Licenses (F SKUs for organizations):

  • Purchase via the Azure Portal (not Microsoft 365).
  • Requires roles like Billing Admin/Global Admin (Microsoft 365) or Owner/Contributor (Azure).

Also, don’t forget to enable Microsoft Fabric in the Power BI Admin Portal for your tenant or security groups.

If you're pursuing Fabric beyond Power BI, please ensure your tenant meets the prerequisites. Let us know if the previous details helped or if you’d like a quick walkthrough , we’re happy to assist!

@Hussein_charif

Power BI pro/PPU os a O365 component and you can buy them from 365 admin center. Where as Fabric license is an azure component. You shoud buy them from the azure portal.

You need first create an azure subscription and resource group and then you will be able to purchase fabric capacity.

Follow the instructions documented here to buy a fabric capacity
