Hi @Nitin01,

I would suggest you use a 64 bit laptop instead. There is a barrier of 32 bit application. Please refer to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3_GB_barrier. The data manipulation could be consuming much memory.

@Nitin01,

Provide some clarifications:

1) OS version

2) Your RAM limit

3) When you updated your Power BI Desktop version last time (begin/end of which month)

4) What is the size of your PBIX file

This is just I can say every month.

OS Window 7

RAM: 8GB (3.11 GB usable)

Syste type: 32 bit OS

PBIX file zie: about 71MB

Hi @Nitin01,

If you have many steps in the Query Editor, they would consume much memory due to the calculation. I would suggest:

1. Upgrade the Desktop the latest version.

2. Convert the OS to a 64-bit system. So does the Desktop.

Can you still post the snapshot of the error message?

Best Regards,

Dale

I would also like to say if you have complex DAX measures this can also affect the size of the model when it is being consumed. Which can also affect the memory allocation error
