Mapping fields between two datasets

Hello,

I've got a following case:
Dataset number 1 having a couple of tables coming from cloud/onprem sources (stored in PBI service)
Old dataset number 2 having couple of tables coming from locally stored sources (dataset also stored locally)
There's a need to perform a mapping between new fields from couple of tables from the dataset number 1 to the one table in the old dataset number 2, as there's no possibility to redesign the dataset number 2.
What is the best and easiest way to solve this problem?

@Anonymous You need to update one of the datasets to include the other table. You can't cross link datasets. You can do alot in terms of linking reports, but when it comes to the model, it all has to be part of the same model.

It is not supported to implement your demand in Power BI currently .There is an similar idea about this issue, please vote it up, Create report from two or more dataset , to improve the Power BI.

It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

We also submitted this feedback to the product group internally, so that the product group can pay attention to this problem and speed up the issue repairing.
