I want to know what kind of licences will be needed for users to see PBI reports and paginated reports in iFrames via embedded links.
That is NOT about PB embedded.
Thanks
Hi @Markzolotoy
If you are using Secure Embed then it would be a Power BI Pro or PPU license if the app workspace is using PPU?
@GilbertQ Yes, for the sake of development currently I have PPU. How is it going to work in a real application? Will each external user have to have a Pro license? How will the credentials work?
Hi, @Markzolotoy
If you have a Power BI Premium Per User (PPU) license, you can embed Power BI reports and paginated reports for external users without requiring them to have a Power BI license. However, you will need to ensure that the external users have the appropriate permissions to view the reports.
To embed reports for external users, you can use the Power BI Embedded API. This API allows you to programmatically generate embed tokens, which can be used to authenticate and authorize external users to view the embedded reports.
When a user requests an embedded report, the application should use the embed token to authenticate and authorize the user. The embed token should be passed to the Power BI Embedded API, which will validate the token and return the appropriate report. The user will be able to view the report without needing a Power BI license.

@v-zhangti Are you talking about PowerBI Embedded? That is not what I am going to use. I am asking about this:

@v-zhangti Unless I am wrong that article talks about internal users using embedded into Portals reports. I need to know how that is going to work on customer sites, aka external users.
