Is there any way to schedule update PowerBI Web when the project use "Web" (URL API) as datasource?

I have created a project using Web as data source (I used a public API that returns a JSON), if I click on "Refresh" button on Power BI Desktop, the project updates correctly, but when I publish the project on Power BI Web and schedule a update or even click on "Update Now" button, the dataset doesn't refresh and I receive this message:

"You can't schedule refresh for this dataset because one or more sources currently don't support"

"Query contains unknown or unsupported data sources."

Is there any way to update the project from Power BI Web or schedule update?

Thanks!

Hi @gluizqueiroz ,

If you were using Function within Power Query code to load data source, it is not available to refresh such a dataset in Power BI Service.

Please vote the following idea:

Make functions refreshable when the data source is a parameter of the function

Hey @v-yulgu-msft.

Thanks for answering me, unfortunately it is a big weakness about Power BI, I hope it will be implemented soon.

Thanks!
