InvalidModelLocaleChangeException error when loading data into datamart

Hi,

I can't seem to find anything about this error. Anyone have any ideas what it means? I undid all of my transformations and it still won't load:

Hi,

This issue occurs when editing and then loading a datamart for the second time after creation. Everything works ok on the first load.

I found a workaround on another thread to change the local to US from UK which is not ideal but its working for now.

Regards

Rob

Hi all,

The team provides a new workaround. It is now possible to quickly transfer the contents of an old datamart to a new datamart: copy and paste the old data into the new datamart.

Something to consider:

  • The target datamart should not have any table to be able to change the locale.
  • The customer should remember to change the locale before saving the data.
  • Please log in to any required credential asked.

Best Regards,

Ada Wang

Same issue with Datamart in New Zealand, change locale to US and is now working. Any updates on fixing this?

Hi @robshpratt ,

In order to help users who have had other experiences with this issue, we've temporarily marked a user's response as a workaround.
The PG team is working on a fix for this issue, with no definitive ETA at this time, but the community engineers will keep you posted here as progress is made.

Hi, any update about the case?

If there an ETA on the fix for this? I just experienced the same bug, for completely inexplicable reasons. I will have to add it to the thousands of productivity hours I have wasted with power bi.

Hi, exact same problem here. I have checked and treble-checked the data sets I'm importing and they all match perfectly, aside of course from the variable value items. I was able to add 2 in one batch earlier today but can now only add a single set.

I've just had this issue too after taking the following steps:

  1. Create a new Data Mart in a PPU Workspace
  2. Upload an Excel Workbook into Dataflow
  3. Save and return to Datamart, table created as expected
  4. Edit a table
  5. Create a new table by referencing an existing table, renaming and adding steps
  6. Save & Close the DF
  7. Get the following error:
    1. Status code: 500 Error Code: InvalidModelLocaleChangeException
  8. The new table is not created and the new reference / steps taken in the DF are deleted

I'm also experiencing this issue and it only happens when trying to add additional data or edit data within an existing Datamart.  On this occasion I had 1 table already created, that saved ok, the 2nd table returns the following error:

Hi @robshpratt ,

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with Datamart. Can you provide some information so we can confirm if this is a known issue. Under what circumstances are you experiencing this issue, when trying to save changes to the Datamart after the initial creation, or is it on the first creation. Do you get an error message when trying to save changes to a newly created Datamart.

Ao criar e salvar pode atualizar inúmeras vezes que não gera erro, mas ao realizar qualquer alteração, mesmo de formatação de colunas ao atualizar o erro é gerado. Fiz várias simulações e só ocorre ao alterar as bases.

  • InvalidModelLocaleChangeException
    • ErrorMessageUnable to change Model locale after other objects have been created.
    • HttpStatusCode400

Tenho o mesmo problema e só ocorre ao realizar qualquer alteração nas bases. Fiz vários testes, exclusões e criação de novos fluxos. Posso atualizar várias vezes sem realizar alteração nas bases, mas após a primeira o erro ocorre.

Thanks for that. That workaround worked for me too. My DM-DataFlow locale was English United Kingdom, switching to US fixed the error.

Can you help me, how can I change this setting?

In the dataflow click "options" and change to US:
