Hi,
I recently seen an option to 'Require users to apply sensitivity labels to Power BI content (preview)' in the Admin Portal.
I was trying it out and it is a great option to force users to apply labels across all content in Power BI Service and even Power BI Desktop.
But I look again at the portal and don't see the option there anymore. Has it been removed? Anyone else experiencing this?
This is what is currently there now :
Thanks,
Sean
Solved! Go to Solution.
Got update from MS.
Looks like the option was turned on by mistake for a small period of time and I just happened to see it.
To accomplish the same requirement, you can turn on the option to enforce sensitivity labels in Power BI using a PowerShell cmdlet via the Security and Compliance Center:
Set-LabelPolicy -Identity "<policy name>" -AdvancedSettings @{powerbimandatory="true"}
I have tested this and it works!
I am presuming when the option is available in the Admin Portal it will be using the same API.
Thanks,
Sean
Hi @seangraham28 ,
I didn't find it in my admin portal also and I didn't find any documents for the preview feature. Since it is a preview feature, maybe the developing teams is still working on it.
If this post helps, then please consider Accept it as the solution to help the other members find it more quickly.

I have Microsoft checking it out. Most likely because it is in preview. It will be a great feature when available as it allow even more proper governance on data classification and protection. Hope it will be back there soon even if in preview. Will mark as solved once I get update from MS.
Thanks
