Include/Exclude Option - remove it

Is there a way to remove the include/exclue option across a report?

Either within power bi service or a code when embedded to another portal?

You can see that option when right clicking on a chart:

Hi,@acbg .Thank you for your reply.
I understand what you are experiencing and your desire to selectively disable the default include/exclude functionality in viusal.
You can go to the Microsoft Favric Ideas website to make your request, fortunately, I found that there are other users who have already made the same idea on the official website, which means that there are some users who want to change this situation, you can search for the comment and vote for it, and I believe that this idea will be adopted in the future.

Hello, ibarrau ,thanks for your concern about this issue.

Your answer is excellent!
And I would like to share some additional solutions below.

Hi,@acbg .I am glad to help you.

I'm sorry to see that you mentioned that the Include and Exclude features in Power BI viusal are causing problems for you and your users when working with reports.
The "Include" and "Exclude" buttons in Power BI are used for quick filtering when analyzing data.
When you right-click on a data point in a chart and select "Include", Power BI regenerates the chart to show only the data points you selected. This helps you focus on a specific subset of data.
When you select Exclude, Power BI regenerates the chart with the data points you selected removed. This helps you eliminate irrelevant data and focus on the remaining data.
These features help you analyze and manipulate data more flexibly.

However, since they are default features of Power BI visual objects used to further analyze the data, there is currently no way to directly remove the options to reduce confusion.
I recommend that you explain to your users what these two features do and how to use them correctly to minimize surprises.
You can also try to find some Power BI custom viusal to replace the default visual.

Power BI provides features designed to help users analyze and process data more efficiently, thank you for your support and understanding.

I hope my suggestions give you good ideas, if you have any more questions, please clarify in a follow-up reply.

Hi @v-jtian-msft Thanks for the confirmation that there is no way to turn it off. The issue is not just with new users, even existing users when they accidentally click on it they would have to either refresh the page or open the filter pane and clear the filters. These are just uneccesary steps that are not needed. Please do convery this to your product team that there should be an option to turn this features off. And we don't want to just use custom visuals across the board as I don't want to introduce more issues and besides why do we have default visuals if they are not meant to be used.

In terms of focusing on subset of data, we should have an easier way to return to the original state like right click and undo exclude/include. Also we have slicers/filters thats what helps with subset of data, not sure why someone would just focus on just one visual without impacting other visuals.

Hi. You can't remove that from Power Bi Service. About embedding I'm not totally sure. I would say you can't do it, because I couldn't find it at the playground https://playground.powerbi.com

But I'm not sure about all operations you can make for embedding.

I hope that helps,

Thanks @ibarrau I did not see any options either in the playground.

Some of the new users keep clicking on it and causing confusion, I would prefer to not show these options at all.
Wanted to get confirmation from someone at MS that its not possible to remove it either in Power BI Service or Power BI Embedded.
