I have a free license which should allow me to see reports created by my co-worker with a Pro license. When I click open the report, I get an invite to upgrade to Pro and when I select not now I am sent to my Power BI home page. The report appear under shared with me but same situation when I try to open it I get sent to my home page. Can anyone help please?

Do you know if the user that shared the report gave you viewing permissions? There are two types of free users in Power BI:
The latter is a Power BI business user whereas the former is not.
It may be due to the permissions given to the free users within that given workspace by the Pro license user. The two following links may provide some light onto your question. Hope it helps! 🙂

Premium is an subscription you have to pay for.
Hope that helps:

Thank you, I will check out these links.
Thank you for your prompt reply, do you have a link with instructions on how to store the content in a premium capacity? Many thanks, Laura
Hi,
Shared content is only available for free lincense if the content is stored in a Premium capacity. If this is not, than you need a Pro license to access shared content.
