Hi,
Is it now possible to do following steps:
1) publish a .pbix file which points to a database on staging server via Parameters
2) Do a UAT of the report on the service
3) Everything looks good so now time to point it to Production server so change the parameters from Dataset settings.
No need to publish .pbix file again. Is it possible?
I'm able to change parameters on service but after saving the changes it doesn't update the report. Am I missing anything here?

@PBInewbie21 OK, so if you go to your dataset Settings in the Service then I imagine you are going to Parameters and changing the parameter there and clicking Apply, correct? If this is an import mode dataset, the change will not take place until the next scheduled refresh.
Hi, @PBInewbie21
If you modify the value of Parameter in Power Bi Service , if the import mode does not trigger the refresh of the data, you need to correctly configure the credentials of the data source in the "Setting" of the dataset, and then trigger the scheduled refresh or manual refresh before the M language query is re-executed.
