Hi @mshao  You would not be able to set monthly refresh data set except daily and weekly in power bi service. But you can achieve this using power automate.

If you interested, then you can follow the steps below:

1. Go to Power Automate and sign in with your Microsoft account. See image below:

2. Click on “Create” and select “Scheduled cloud flow.” See image below:

3. Configure the flow to run on the first day of every month. You can set the exact time you want the refresh to occur.

4. Click on “New step” + button and search for “Power BI.” See image below:

5. Select “Refresh a dataset” from the list of actions. See image below:

6. Choose your workspace and dataset that you want to refresh from left pane. See Image:

Hi @mshao
Beside your dataset in MSfabric service you can see(...)

sandeepsai_1-1730791037267.png

where we need go to settings there we have an option ScheduleRefresh
Then Choose Weekly as the refresh frequency
Select only one day of the Month (e.g., the first Monday of each month) and set the time for the refresh. This will limit the refresh to once per week.

login to your powerbi service and go to your workspace. and click on the three dots (…) next to its name.

  1. Select settings from the menu.
  2. Scroll down to the scheduled refresh section and turn the switch to ON.
  3. Under frequency, choose monthly.
  4. Pick the specific days of the month you want the refresh to happen (like the 1st, 15th, or last day).
  5. Set the time of day for the refresh to occur.

Your dataset will now refresh automatically each month.
