Hide Apps

Hello,

Is there a way to hide Apps in the left pane of Power BI Service? I want to add some external users to a workspace to help me with some reports but I don't want them to have access to the apps of the other markets.

Please advise.

Thanks!

Hi there

Happy to assist, and I would suggest going to https://ideas.powerbi.com and putting the idea in there.

At least the Power BI team will be aware of this?

Hi there

Currently there is no way to hide the Apps.

The users should only see the apps that they have access to when clicking on Apps.

The challenge is that there are many apps from different markets and I can't ask each market to hide their apps 😞

Any ideas?

Hi there

What if each market only creates an App and shares it with the relevant people?

That will mean it will only show for the right people?

I thought of that but again I can't reach to every market and ask them to publish to only specific users 🙂

I think this should be an idea in which Power BI admins can control what users can see in the left pane. It will be very hepful for users who needs to grant access to users from other organizations.

Thanks for the help 🙂
