Hi Everyone
i am bringing data from api's in power bi and
when i publish report in power bi service , i get the following error
however dataset is getting refreshed properly in the desktop.
Solved! Go to Solution.
@govind_021 Hey,
This is authentication issue due credential missing on power bi service.
steps are below
login to power Bi service portal
select your workspace
select your report dataset then followed by setting
Select data source credential
select oauth 2 authentication
once this is done then your report is succesfully authenticated.
or - follow below method for Long term solution
Go to Manage connection and Gateway
you will see New and get help on top left corner
select New - Gateway cluster name - Select your gateway name from Drop down
Connection name - combo of your server name + database name
then connection type - use SQL server (incase of SQL server)
database - add your data base name
use authentication
select basic authentication
add your id and password or use service account id and password
privacy - general
at last save
then you can use this connection in multiple report and this will work like a charm.
Thanks
Harish M

Hi @govind_021 It might be because the credentials are missing in Power BI Service please provide the credentials in PBI Service
Going to the dataset's settings in Power BI Service.
Re-entering credentials for all data sources under "Data source credentials."
Reactivating the scheduled refresh.
