Hello there, PBI Community!

I'm having an issue with a specific data source where I'm getting a data access error:

The access to this data source is configured through a VM - and weirdly enough, I can access this data source directly.
I'm thinking this has to do with the VM itself and not with the data sourse per se, even though I have other data sources linked with this VM, they're working just fine.

What I need is some troubleshooting guidance, 'cause I'm not very familizarized with how these kinds of gateways work, and I myself didn't configure it.... so... Any insight on how to approach the problem to solve it will be much appreciated!

Thanks for the quicky reply! We figured it out - there was a missing param on the connection string to the db..... after fixing it, PBI online was then again able to update the reports. Thanks once again ! 🙂

Hello @kavi , I found out that the issue was with the connection string I was using to connect to the database, which was requesting mandatory SSL verification; so, in order to fix it, I just added sslmode=require; at the end of the connection string.
In case you use a database plugin through ODBC (windows), you should also change SSL Mode to require, in case your database requires it too.
That fixed the problem. 🙂
