Get Insight Date Reads 1899

When I check the Get Insight function on my PBI Premium account, all the insights read "December 1, 1899", I cannot figure out how to fix this issue. Note that I pull all my data from spreadsheets and use the date columns for my visuals.

Hi @CharlesCarmical ,

Here are some considerations and limitations of insights function:

  • The data or visuals aren't supported:
    • Anomalies and trend insights are supported on time series with numeric data on visuals such as line charts; area charts; stacked area, bar, and column charts; clustered bar and column charts; and KPIs. KPI analysis insight is supported on KPIs, gauges, cards, and bar and column charts.
    • Anomalies and trends are only supported for built-in date hierarchy or date time fields. They aren't supported on custom date hierarchy.
  • The data doesn't have significant anomalies or trends. You can try filtering your data or check back later when there’s new data

@CharlesCarmical So, December 30th, 1899 is the default date for DAX but not sure why you would be getting December 1st, 1899 in the Service for Get Insights, that's strange. Maybe check the Issues area or open a support ticket. You could check the Issues forum here:

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues

And if it is not there, then you could post it.

If you have Pro account you could try to open a support ticket. If you have a Pro account it is free. Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".
