Microsoft SQL: The target principal name is incorrect. Cannot generate SSPI context.

We get above error, the gateway is already running since January 2021 without any problem, and yesterday we get this error

Your error message is related to kerberos issue. Please follow the steps in https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/service-gateway-sso-kerberos to configure kerberos for power bi gateway.

Thsi error is usually encountered when one of the credentials on the gateway changes or expires. Have you checked that they are all good ? Also do look at the alias added at Gateway for Ids added there in case any of them expired/removed.
