Hi!
Question regarding filtering data in subscription emails. (I see similar questions asked, but my report doesn't require RLS)
I have manager's table with record count and total amount due with NO row-level security applied. However, I would like to send automated e-mails of the report page which:
1) Send the report only to those managers in the table (the list keeps changing as only those with overdue docs appear)
2) Send only the counts relevant to that user
Thanks in advance! I'm new to the community!
Another approach:
Use on-prem version of Power BI Reporting Services, and build an RDL (paginated report) which could be bursted in the fashion described i.e. the subscription is sent to the top 30 managers and only the relevant data is sent to each.
Data source: SAP BW App Server
Feedback/thoughts?
Hi @Anonymous,
AFAIK, subscription feature not support RLS feature. You can refer to the following document limitations list to know more about this:
Subscribe to a report or dashboard in the Power BI service#considerations-and-troubleshooting
For your requirement, I'd like to suggest you submit an idea to add RLS feature support for subscription features.

Thanks, perhaps my title is misleading, but I do not require RLS.
I need parameters/data-driven subscription in my Power BI service report.

Would this work instead? Power Automate/MS Flow is not an option in the org ..
Thanks!
Wait, is this a paginated report and do you have Premium?
I do have premium, I was wondering if I should go the paginated report route, but my data source is SAP BW App Server, so I guess it is not an option? : /

Do you have any resources on the Power Automate approach?
This is the closest I found: https://angryanalyticsblog.azurewebsites.net/index.php/2017/11/13/data-driven-subscriptions-in-power...
Thanks!
