In PowerBI Desktop everything is fine, the location code is recognized and colors are dsiplayed correct.
After publish to powerbi.com the map is empty!
Just happening with conditional formatting, with "normal" color set it works also online.

Hi @Anonymous ,
By my test, it worked when publish to Service. You could test just one visual of filled map with conditional formatting. If it work, please refresh the report and re-publish it. If it doesn't work, please check and install the latest vision of Power BI (2.71.5523.941).
Best Regards,
Xue Ding

Hi!
Unfortunatly that does not help.
I was already on latest software version.
And also deleted report online an published again.
Now I built a report with just one visual and same data.
Map stays empty.
Very strange that now also the standard is empty...
Maybe the interpretation of location data works different local and online?
Maybe a regional problem?
I attach screenshots: 2 maps -> with standard color + conditional color scale
Desktop and Online

I also did now assign the correct data category (see screen) for 3 columns: postalcode city country
Also did not help. In all combination, with and without comma, different order...
I searched on the normal Bing-Map webpage and bing also does not find it - a absolutly standard city:
"1030 Wien Österreich"
Very poor search engine! Never happens with google.
Very frustrating.
Another very strange thing:
In powerbi.com online service the map is still empty.
But the scheduled email of the dashboard from the same report shows the filled map correctly!?
Hi there,
I have the exact same issue. Fine on desktop, also works when I export to a PDF, but it won't fill the map on the PowerBi online app.
Was there ever an answer to this?
