Sorry just a small question regarding the fabric API. Are the GIT commands (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/fabric/core/git) making them be used with a service principal or managed identities in the pipeline of being released? If so any date when you think that will happen?

Hi @gmayne -
Currently, the Git commands in the Microsoft Fabric API do not support service principals or managed identities. As you might have noticed, certain Fabric REST API features, like the Git API functionality, are still in preview, and this includes limitations on authorization types, especially regarding service principals.
Although you can perform some operations with other API features, service principals are not yet supported for all Git-related functions. Unfortunately, there hasn't been any specific date released for when full support for service principals or managed identities might be available for Git operations. For now, it's recommended to keep an eye on official announcements or consider contacting Microsoft support for more detailed information regarding the timeline for these updates.

Hello,rajendraongole1 ,thanks for your concern about this issue.
Your answer is excellent!
And I would like to share some additional solutions below.
Hi,@gmayne .I am glad to help you.
The current situation is as suggested by Rajendraongole1.
Unfortunately, not all Rest API requests are currently supported by the service body authentication method. This currently includes Git-related APIs as well.
I found the official article description of the Service Body Authentication Method published as recently as September, and there is no mention of the Git-related APIs in it.
Git-related features are still in Preview.
