Dear,
We have a report shared with external user, whose id is already added in our Azure tenant. Provided Power BI license as well. However, user is unable to access report.
It says an error, contact support. GetReportError.
Requested user to get Power BI Pro license from their company tenant, as the licence assigned via our tenant seems not to be working.
Any lead on this issue. Note: Report is embedded in sharepoint.
Thanks.
Hi @shamsvp1985
If you embedded the report in sharepoint, you can try the follwing ways to grant access to user:
Way1: If you're using a Microsoft 365 Group to build your SharePoint Online team site, list the user as a member of the workspace within the Power BI service and the SharePoint page
Way 2:Embed a report within an app, and share it directly with users

Thanks. Issue is not with the Power BI access to internal users. Issue is with only external users who are from different company.
Access is working as expected for intenal users. However, external users are facing issue with access, though we tried to give Power BI Pro licnese from our tenant.
Hi @shamsvp1985
You can add the external user to the group, or embedded the report to an app. then share the report to the external user as i mentioned above.

Thanks. Thats what we did. Created a group and added external users. External Users are able to access SharePoint Site but not the report embedded. Seems issue with Power BI license, though error doesnt specifically mention that.
We could share individual report to external users as well right? doesnt have to be embedded in SharePoint or in separate app. This also possible right?
Note: Internal users are able to access report without issues.
Hi @shamsvp1985
You can publish the report to web, external user can visit the report without license,
You can refer to the following link:
