I'm having an issue in the power BI service. When I choose the export data option from a visual and choose excel, the data doesn't match th visual. There are many more records in the results. When I choose csv it works. Is anyone aware of a bug in the export data to xlsx feature?

Hi @clayduvall
Make sure the option is enabled in the desktop:
Select the option for Summarized data if you want to export data for what you see in that visual. This type of export shows you only the data (columns and measures) that are being used to create the visual.

Thank you for your response. This option is enabled. I can export summarized data. The problem is that the csv export works correctly, exporting exactly what is on the visual. But the xlsx export export many more records as if the visual filters are not applied. I believe it has to be some bug with the xlsx export.
Hi @clayduvall
In my test, this feature works fine, it might be a transient problems.
Maybe you can try to republish the report to another workspace and check if it could be solved.
Given I have so little information at this time, I can't tell what's causing your problem. You can create a support ticket for free and a dedicated Microsoft engineer will come to solve the problem for you.
It would be great if you continue to share in this issue to help others with similar problems after you know the root cause or solution.
