I have a report connected to several excel files in Dropbox. I created the connection with Web source and the link to the file, changing the "=0" in the end to "=1". The source looked something like this:
= Excel.Workbook(Web.Contents("https://www.dropbox.com/....=1"
I have no problem in Power BI Desktop, but when publishing the report, I am not able to refresh it.
I tried with authentication method Anonymous and Basic (with User and Password). I seems that the files are not online, as I have this error when trying to refresh:
DataSource.NotFound: Excel Workbook: The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine. The 64-bit version of the Access Database Engine OLEDB provider may be required to read this type of file. To download the client software, visit the following site: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=285987.. .
Is there a way to connect to dropbox and establish the schedule refresh??
Hi @juan_123
Please try copying the shared file link on Dropbox.
Go to Dropbox and find the Excel file you want to connect to, right-click and select “Share” to generate a share link, and make sure the link's access is public or available for all to see. Copy this link and reconfigure connection and refresh.

If it doesn't work, consider moving the files to OneDrive, which has tighter integration with Power BI.
