Export Underlying Data Once Dataset is refreshed

Hi,

Need help, How to export underlying data once data refreshed in power bi service Is there any workaround for this ?

For Example = I have 2 views once these views refreshed in power bi service then automatically views data should export in excel. Is this possible ?

Hi there. You might be able to do it, but if you are just using pro workspaces, it means you need changes to do.

1- Writing Python or R: You can add to your power query code some script with these languages to write to csv a table and continue the ETL. The problem with this solution is that it will force you to use a personal gateway. 2- If you can afford Power Bi Premium (or PPU), you can use the Rest API to export the data. You can create a script or use PowerAutomate (if you have automate premium) to refresh the dataset and after that export (only premium capacity) or executequery (any premium type max o 100k rows).

P/D there are libraries like https://pypi.org/project/SimplePBI/ but export request might have limitations.
